OUR HISTORY

It all started in 1997, when my wife to be, Diana Koerner, overheard one of her co-workers slam down the phone and mumble to herself, "I should be selling snow cones like my cousin."  I was all  over that statement - being an aspiring entreprenuer thanks to my college roommate Scott.  After numerous jobs as an Event Planner, Concert Stagehand, Theatrical Stage Manager, and Karaoke Host for an entertainment company I was ready for a new career.

We met with the cousin who was a distributer for Tropical Sno Hawaiian Shave Ice and decided to take the plunge.  We opened a storefront location in Westmont, Illinois in 1998 and much to our disappointment had to close after 2 summers of business.  Unfortunately Shave Ice is a seasonal business and we didn't have anything to keep us going in the winter and couldn't find a subleaser.  We decided to continue to participate in Summer Festivals since the overhead was low (lower than paying year round for a storefront that was only open for 4 months)

I decided put my previous Event Planning skills to use and focus on providing the Shave Ice for private events and schools.  I then got a creative bug and am now offering other dessert and fun food items, Karaoke and Event Planning services as well. 

As mentioned on the Home Page, you don't need to associate our food services with an event.  Many companies and schools make us the event by simply providing their employees or students with a special treat.  We charge a flat rate per service and hand out free servings to guests or students (free food + college students = HUGE success).
